PBF project: ordinary and extraordinary sessions of the Steering Sub-Committee
Working session of the Steering Sub-Committee of the "Performance-Based Financing" (PBF) Project – Education.
The Minister of Basic Education, President of the Steering Committee of the "Performance-Based Financing" (PBF) – Education Project, chaired on November 4, 2021 in Yaoundé, the work of the 1st ordinary and extraordinary sessions of the said Steering Subcommittee.
It was in the presence of the Secretary General of MINEDUB and representatives of the administrations concerned.
Opening the work, Professor Laurent Serge Etoundi Ngoa indicated that the general objective of the project "Performance-Based Financing" (PBF)-Education", is to improve the performance and efficiency of the management of public primary schools at the Ministry of Basic Education. Specifically, it is a question of improving the performance of the education system through financial incentives; to enable local actors to find solutions to the school's problems; make funds available to schools to reward their efforts in areas facing difficulties, including access to school, quality of teaching and governance. He invited everyone to take ownership of this new approach in order to make it a real performance instrument.
